CRISTIANO Ronaldo Junior joined Manchester United academy soon after his father returned to the football club after a 12-year absence.
As the other Ronaldo at the club, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner's son was seen on his way to a training session alongside United star Nemanja Matic’s son.
This is not the first time the youngster has turned up to work with his dad; he did the same while his father was at Juventus.
And if any of Ronaldo’s talent has been passed down to his son, he is in for a long and brilliant career.
Just days after the youngster turned nine, he made his debut for Juventus where he scored four goals and would go on to score seven in 45 minutes against CS Maritimo later on in the season.
Cristiano told DAZN shortly after joining the Italian giants: “I hope that Cris, my son, can be like his dad. He says he is going to be better [than me], but I think it’s difficult.”
“He is playing for Juventus and adapting really well, it has been easier for him than for me.”
Another potential star in the making is Wayne Rooney’s son Kai, who has also joined the United academy.
Interestingly, both are in the same age group and there is a slight possibility fans could see a Ronaldo-Rooney combination at Old Trafford sometime in the future.
Their fathers are legends at United, particularly their 2008 season together, where they won the Champions League and Premier League under Sir Alex Ferguson. – Agencies, September 16, 2021
