EMMA Raducanu who won the recent US Open title has spared little time in cashing in on her success.

The player who created history by becoming the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam title has signed her first endorsement with Tiffany and Co.

The 18-year-old is now the most sought after athlete and will soon sign enough deals that will surely dwarf the US2.5 million (RM10.5 million) she won as the winner of the US Open.

“Very excited to join the iconic Tiffany and Co family as a House Ambassador,” wrote Racucanu on Instagram. “Being able to wear these special jewellery pieces over the past few weeks has been an honour!”

Tim Lopez of CSM Sport & Entertainment says she is at the tip of the iceberg with regards to her earning potential and believes she is going to become extremely rich very soon.

Her success in New York has catapulted her to a global acceptance and has become the greatest British woman athlete since Virginia Wade.

The stage is set for Raducanu to become a success from a financial perspective but what remains to be seen is if she can build on a successful career in tennis rather than being a one tournament wonder.

All eyes will be on Raducanu when she competes for the first time since her US Open triumph at Indian Wells Masters next month. – Agencies, September 26, 2021
