SEREMBAN – Premier League champions Negeri Sembilan FC (NSFC) have been forced to withdraw from the ongoing Malaysia Cup campaign after 20 of their players and four officials tested positive for Covid-19.

The NSFC said that those infected were undergoing compulsory home quarantine as well as being monitored for 10 days by the Health Ministry.

“Continuous Covid-19 detection tests are being carried out for close contacts of the NSFC players and officials involved.

“For the safety of all parties as well as on the recommendation of the team doctor, the NSFC would like to apologise to the fans because the team will not be able to continue their campaign in the Malaysia Cup competition,” the NSFC said in a statement that was uploaded to the team’s official Facebook page today.
