KUALA LUMPUR − Zulkifli Mohd Ali, the father of national tenpin bowling icon Shalin Zulkifli, died in his sleep yesterday afternoon. He was 71.

Shalin said her father’s health had been deteriorating after suffering a stroke in 2015.

“I hope you will be able to forgive my dad for any mistakes or wrongdoings throughout his 71 years on earth. Please let me know if my arwah ayah owed anything to anyone…Insyallah we will try to repay everyone, so that he is able to leave this earth peacefully.

“Please forgive me if I am not able to reply to each and everyone but know that we really appreciate everyone’s prayers and duas,” the former international bowling champion posted in her Facebook last night.

Shalin said her father was laid to rest at the Kota Damansara Muslim Cemetery at 10.45 am today after prayers at Surau Mutiara Damansara. – Bernama, December 9, 2021
