BRACKLEY − After several years as sponsors, Bose and Epson have decided to end their partnership with the Mercedes’ F1 team ahead of the 2022 season, according to gpblog.com.
After having worked with Mercedes since 2015 supplying audio equipment to the team in the garage, Bose is leaving Formula One.
Mercedes’ principal Toto Wolff, who has been seen in the spotlight several times with his Bose headphones, had even smashed his unit during the recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
Despite Mercedes making a joke out of it on social media − from which Bose had profited tremendously − the departure will have nothing to do with Wolff’s outburst on television.
As one of the largest manufacturers of printers, Japanese technology company Epson, who supplied printers, projectors and scanners to the Mercedes team, is also leaving the Formula One giant after a cooperation of six years. – Agencies, January 6, 2022
