KUALA LUMPUR – Olympian Wendy Ng Yan Yee won two events to steal the limelight on the last day of the Malaysia Invitational Age-Group (MIAG) Championships diving competition in Ipoh, Perak, today.

The 2019 SEA Games champion combined with Ong Ker Ying to outperform their only competitors – Dayang Nursharzyra Awang Nasaruddin-Nur Eilisha Rania Abrial Rajagopal – in the women’s 3m springboard synchronised event at the Tuanku Zara Aquatic Centre.

Wendy-Ker Ying scored 282.30 points while Dayang Nursharzyra-Eilisha Rania collected 227.31 points.

The 28-year-old Wendy then returned to the pool for the women’s 3m springboard individual, claiming victory with 327.50 points. Ker Ying (288 points) finished second while Perak’s Prisilia Chong Yao (185 points) was third.

National diving queen Datuk Pandelela Rinong bagged her second win of the championships when she came out tops in the women’s 10m platform individual with 283.65 points, followed by Eilisha (212.40 points) and Prisilia (203.10 points).

Yesterday, Pandelela combined with Nur Dhabitah Sabri to emerge victorious in the women’s 10m platform synchronised after the duo accumulated 308.76 points, while their only competitors - Dayang Nursharzyra-Eilisha - collected 233.19 points.

Meanwhile, the national divers dominated both the men’s 3m springboard individual and synchronised events.
