“For the Asian Tour, we still have 13 races, in Turkey, Iran, Japan, Taiwan and finally the Le Tour De Langkawi (LTdL) to go through before the season ends. We are confident of being able to collect a lot of points because we are used to participating in these races,” he said. at a dinner with the media here yesterday.
In the meantime, Che Ku Izmuddin said TSG expects to face a tough challenge from world-class teams in the LTDL competition that will take place in October.
Thus TSG are not setting high targets in the LTdL and hope to be able to win the white jersey for Asia’s best rider.
“I expect many European world team riders will participate in the LTdL since the Tour De France has already ended.
“In this situation, the game will change because of the competition from world-class teams. Anyway, we will wait and see the announcement of the teams that will be competing,” said Che Ku Izmuddin.
In addition, he also informed about TSG’s plans to participate in races in Spain in an effort to penetrate the European continent in the future.
“So far we have held discussions at the coaching level and identified some suitable areas for races.
“If successful, Spain will be the second country after Turkey and it is a good start for us to expand our wings to Europe,” he said. – Bernama, July 28, 2022
