THE Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, said that peace should be valued and preserved as the main foundation for the well-being of the ummah and the stability of the country.

In conjunction with the 219th Police Day celebrations this year, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra called on the entire community, particularly those in Perlis, to realise that peace is the greatest blessing in life.

"To ensure the capabilities of the security forces remain strong, every police personnel needs to be equipped with sufficient training, skills and equipment to always be prepared to face various forms of increasingly complex security threats,” His Royal Highness said in a statement issued by Istana Arau today.

In conjunction with the 219th Police Day celebrations, the Raja Muda of Perlis also graced the cycling event organised by the Perlis Police Contingent around Utan Aji, near here, yesterday, reported Bernama.

Also present was the Second Heir to the Perlis throne, Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Al-Haj Jamalullail. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra also congratulated the police for their success in seizing 510 kilogrammes of methamphetamine worth RM25.5 million in Wang Kelian, Kaki Bukit, near Padang Besar, last week.

His Royal Highness hopes the public will remain responsible and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

In conjunction, the Raja Muda of Perlis also consented to presenting contributions from the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to several recipients, including Mahani Mat, 53, and Haron Nayan, 81, from Kampung Sentua Utan Aji; as well as Ismail Matt Isa, 64, from Kampung Alor Marus. Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra also consented to visit former Arau deputy police chief DSP (Rtd) Ishak Baharun, 73, at his home in Utan Aji. – March 31, 2026
