KUALA LUMPUR – The Motorsports Association of Malaysia’s (MAM) status as the national federation for the country’s motorsports remains intact, it said today.

In a statement, it stated that the screenshot from the International Motorcycling Federation’s (FIM) internal website regarding the outstanding amount due from MAM was dated November 4.

However, MAM clarified that its discussion with FIM could only be concluded on Monday (November 7).

“We are confident all administrative matters have been resolved.

“The integrity of MAM together with its representatives and personnel remains the same and unquestioned”, MAM said after confirmation with FIM deputy chief executive officer Damiano Zamana.

It is also mentioned in the statement that MAM’s powers as the country’s sanctioning body for international events and provisions relating to race officials are not affected.

“MAM also wishes to state and thank the MAM affiliates for their continuous support.” – The Vibes, November 9, 2022
