KUALA LUMPUR – Township developer KL Wellness City Sdn Bhd organised its first Fitness Fiesta 2022 as part of its continuous effort to empower the local community towards a healthier lifestyle.
The event took place on December 3-4 at the KL Wellness City Gallery in Bukit Jalil.
In a statement, the township developer said the 2-day event was well-received across all ages and genders, who benefitted from the various physical yet therapeutic wellness activities and workshops.
Its managing director Datuk Colin Lee shared that Fitness Fiesta is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to bolster awareness on the need to live a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
“A study by Google has shown that, in 2021, Malaysians have placed greater emphasis on their health and wellness ever since the pandemic, where two in every five Malaysians have started exercising more often during the period.
“We are very encouraged to see so many from all walks of life from our community embracing a healthier lifestyle by participating in Fitness Fiesta,” he added.
Participants of Fitness Fiesta were also given the challenge to put their fitness level to test in the yoga and fitness challenge.
The top three participants of the challenge walked away with attractive cash vouchers worth RM1,830, along with trophies.
Aside from organising Fitness Fiesta, KL Wellness City also promoted active lifestyles among their senior-level management through the representation in the ironman triathlon team.
They comprised branding, sales and marketing executive director Datuk Seri Vincent Tiew and corporate representative Victor Chen and represented Malaysia in the Ironman Western Australia held on December 3.
Tiew and Chen successfully completed the triathlon challenge involving a 3.8km-swim, 180km-ride and 42.2km run. – The Vibes, December 15, 2022
