KUALA LUMPUR – The Youth and Sports Ministry announced its distribution of RM880,050 to sports bodies and youth organisations as financial assistance and allocation to finance activities related to development of youth and sports.

In a statement today, the ministry said that this is in line with its commitment to establish strategic cooperation and supporting stakeholders to empower the development of youth and sports.

“In line with governance practices that are transparent, orderly and organised, the ministry has launched a special web page through its portal www.kbs.gov.my that will list the recipients of approved grants, which will be available online from today onwards.

“A total of 32 applications amounting to RM880,050 have been approved to date for this year.

“Minister Hannah Yeoh and deputy minister Adam Adli have collectively agreed to approve this funding under the special allocation for the minister and deputy minister,” the statement read.

The approval list of the recipients will be updated from time to time for reference and review by the public, especially among the youth and sports stakeholders.

This effort also supports digitisation in the public sector, and the latest data can be accessed easily by the public in a transparent and open ecosystem. – The Vibes, May 2, 2023
