KUALA LUMPUR – The Genta Belia Tour 2023 is being held to empower the economy of the youth, especially in rural areas, by giving exposure to economic empowerment initiatives implemented by government and non-government agencies.

The Youth and Sports Ministry said in a statement that the tour programme organised by the National Youth and Sports Department is a new initiative of the ministry carried out in 43 locations, involving several selected districts throughout the country from June to October.

According to the ministry, there are three main contents for the tour, which are knowledge and information-sharing activities including job opportunities and entrepreneurship, youth community sales with the concept of mini segments, and side activities in the form of interactive games and entertainment.

“A total of 15,000 youth will benefit from this entire tour. Through this tour, the youth, together, with the community can carry out various economic activities that will have a direct impact on economic empowerment,” according to the statement today.

The ministry stated that the tour was assisted by strategic partners, namely the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, the National Entrepreneurship Institute, the Agriculture Department, the Social Security Organisation, the Companies Commission of Malaysia, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd, and various non-governmental organisations.
