KUALA LUMPUR – L’Étape Malaysia by Tour de France moves a step further in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of amateur cyclists with the best medical services and comprehensive care through their partnership with Prince Court Medical Centre.
In a statement, L’Étape Malaysia said having Prince Court on board as its official healthcare partner showcased the latter’s capabilities in the areas of sports medicine.
“We strongly believe that health and sports go hand-in-hand,” said Prince Court chief executive Cindy Choe at a press conference here, today.
“This partnership will showcase our capabilities in the areas of sports medicine, which combines research-based solutions in the approach of sports rehabilitation and post-operative recovery and exemplifies our dedication to supporting the well-being of athletes.”
The statement added that collaboration between Prince Court and L’Étape Malaysia will see the medical centre deploy its multidisciplinary team of renowned doctors, sports medicine specialists, and dedicated support staff at each stage.
Prince Court’s state-of-the-art facilities, advanced medical technologies, and evidence-based approach also play a pivotal role in managing any medical challenges that arise during the race to be held on July 8.
“Prince Court’s exceptional reputation for delivering world-class healthcare aligns perfectly with our commitment to ensure the highest standards of safety and well-being for our athletes,” said co-organiser Muse Group Asia chief executive Riduwan Matni.
“Together, we will continue to raise the bar in providing the best support for the sports industry.”
Last year’s inaugural event recognised L’Étape Malaysia as the second largest L’Étape by Tour de France event amongst more than 20 countries with a stunning 4,700 rider participation.
