KUALA LUMPUR – The tantalising aroma of rendang, the mouthfeel of kuih bangkit melting on the tongue – there is nothing in the world like celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the delicacies synonymous with the festival.

Feasting on these dishes is surely foremost on everyone’s mind, especially after a month of fasting.

More importantly, you do not have to be Muslim to enjoy Raya goodies. As the saying goes, food brings people – especially Malaysians – together.

Our love for food is undeniable, and these festive-season favourites, many of which are available only this time of the year, represent the colourful Malaysian lifestyle.

But have you ever wondered what our MPs like to tuck into on Raya?

In conjunction with the celebration today, The Vibes got some lawmakers – of different races and parties – to share their most-loved menu items.

From popular picks to lesser-known dishes, the MPs explain why certain foods are the ones they most look forward to each year.
