SINGAPORE Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is set to deliver the highly anticipated Budget 2026 speech in Parliament on February 12, providing a detailed outline of the government’s fiscal priorities and policy measures for the coming year.
The Finance Ministry confirmed that the speech will be broadcast live on television and radio, with an online webcast accessible through the official Singapore Budget website.
Media coverage will be complemented by live updates from The Straits Times, while key announcements will also be shared via the Ministry of Finance’s social media channels.
Following the delivery of the statement, the full Budget documentation will be made publicly available on the Singapore Budget website, allowing citizens and stakeholders to review the government’s financial and policy plans in detail.
Prime Minister Wong, who also serves as Finance Minister, is expected to address critical economic concerns including job security and the rising cost of living.
Speaking on September 19, he emphasised that while government spending will increase as a share of gross domestic product to meet growing public needs, the administration intends to maintain a balanced Budget “over the medium term.”
In preparation for the Budget, the Ministry of Finance has conducted public consultations alongside agencies such as the government feedback unit Reach and the People’s Association, which remain open until January 12.
These consultations are designed to gather citizen feedback and insights to help shape the 2026 fiscal agenda.
