5.4-magnitude quake jolts Myanmar-India border region

KUALA LUMPUR – A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Myanmar-India border region at 1.38am today.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in a statement, said the epicentre of the quake was 307km east of Narsingdi, Bangladesh, and it measured 53km deep.

It does not pose a tsunami threat to Malaysia. – Bernama, October 11, 2020
