BINH DUONG – One more victim of the karaoke parlour fire in Vietnam’s southern province of Binh Duong has died after being hospitalised, raising the death toll to 33, according to local police.

Police said that search activities were completed last night, Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

Among the 32 bodies found at the scene, 16 were female and 16 were male.

Currently, 17 injured people are receiving treatment at the hospital, including one in severe condition.

The blaze broke out around 8.48pm on Tuesday at the three-storey karaoke parlour, spanning over 1,500sqm in An Phu ward, Thuan An city. 

On Tuesday, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims in the case. – Bernama, September 8, 2022
