ROME – Former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi died today aged 86, Italian news agency (ANSA) citing sources close to the family said.

He was admitted to Milan’s San Raffaele hospital on Friday, reportedly for scheduled tests for his previously undisclosed chronic leukaemia.
