TOKYO – Tokyo stocks opened higher today, tracking rallies on Wall Street, which was boosted by news that several million doses of a new coronavirus vaccine could be on the way.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index was up 1.28% or 381.25 points at 30,052.95 in early trade, while the broader Topix index gained 1.13% or 21.53 points to 1,924.60. – AFP, February 25, 2021
