Govt activates rubber production incentive in Sabah, Sarawak
The rubber production incentive will be activated if the average monthly price of standard malaysian rubber 20 free on board-grade rubber is at RM6.10 per kg or the farm-gate price is RM2.50 per kg or below.

KUALA LUMPUR – The rubber production incentive for February 2021 has been activated in Sabah and Sarawak, said the Malaysian Rubber Board.

It said the activation was due to the average farm-level price in February 2021 for cup lump or scrap rubber being at RM2.60 per kilogramme in the peninsula, RM2.35 per kg in Sabah, and RM2.40 per kg in Sarawak.

“The incentive is activated for February 2021, with payment at 15 sen per kg in Sabah and 10 sen per kg in Sarawak.

“Smallholders have until the end of this month to make their claims,” the board said in a statement today.

The incentive will be activated if the average monthly price of standard malaysian rubber 20 on board-grade rubber is at RM6.10 per kg or the farm-gate price is RM2.50 per kg or below. – Bernama, March 1, 2021
