KUALA LUMPUR – Former chairman of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s board of directors, Tan Sri Dr Ibrahim Saad, is set to spearhead a local financial institution.

A source told Getaran that the appointment is on the cards following a takeover of the financial institution by a prominent banking figure.

In line with this, a reshuffle of the bank’s leadership is expected to reflect the company’s vision and mission.

“Also involved in the leadership change is former Maybank chairman Datuk Mohaiyani Shamsuddin,” said the source.

It is understood that the takeover has been approved and will come into force soon.

“All related procedures have been ironed out and we are just waiting for the date when it will come into force,” said the source, adding that an official announcement on the matter will be made soon. – The Vibes, August 3, 2021
