SERDANG – FGV Holdings Bhd is targeting to supply 10,000 kampung chickens a week to Aeon Big hypermarkets nationwide by year-end, under the brand “Ladang 57”.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the government had allocated RM234 million to the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) for agriculture projects under the Settler Development Programme as well as the Keluarga Malaysia hardcore poverty eradication programme.

“The demand for kampung chickens has increased and so has its price, thus one of the strategies to address hardcore poverty is to encourage participants to venture into rearing kampung chickens,” he said. – Bernama, August 8, 2022
