KUALA LUMPUR – The country’s six mobile network operators (MNOs) are expected to execute their respective access agreements (AAs) with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB) to lease the latter’s 5G network by the end of the month.

DNB chief operating officer Nasution Mohamed said all six MNOs have signed the letters that essentially lock the terms of their respective agreements.

“The six MNOs will have until the end of this month to sign the access agreement,” he told reporters on the sideline of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission briefing here today.

Earlier this month, it was reported that six MNOs, namely Celcom Axiata Bhd, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd, YTL Communications Sdn Bhd, and Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) together with Maxis Bhd and U Mobile Sdn Bhd had reached agreements on the terms in the AAs.

On October 7, DNB also announced that four MNOs – Celcom Axiata, Digi Telecommunications, YTL Communications, and TM – had executed share subscription agreements for a total 65% equity stake in the company. – Bernama, October 18, 2022
