2020 was tough for a lot of people, and apparently celebrities are just like us because it was a breaking point for the perhaps the most talked about celebrity couple of the last decade.

According to multiple sources across the celebrity-obsessed sector of the blogosphere, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – two of the most famous people on the planet – might be heading to a divorce.

Tabloid mainstay, Page Six, reports that multiple sources say “divorce is imminent”. Kim has apparently hired power divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to handle the proceedings. Wasser has previously represented Kim in her 2011 divorce with NBA player Kris Humphries.

The couple reportedly spent their holidays apart, with Kim with her celebrity family in Los Angeles and Kanye at his luxury Wyoming ranch.

On the other hand, TMZ reports that they are in marriage counselling, with divorce a possibility at this point.

They have four young children – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm – which is unsurprisingly a factor in how the celebrity couple is to proceed.

A major point of contention seems to be Kim and Kanye’s different approaches to President Donald Trump.

While Kim has made overtures and visits to the White House tied to her prison reform agenda, Kanye has grabbed all sorts of headlines with his apparent embrace of the controversial soon to be ex-tenant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Kanye has also been open about his mental health struggles, which Kim has been supportive of. But the glad-handing with Trump and the abortive run for the Oval Office might have been a bridge too far.

“She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign,” a source told Page Six. “Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s–t, and she’s just had enough of it.” – The Vibes, January 6, 2021
