MINISTER in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh and her husband Ramachandran Muniandy have divorced after 18 years of marriage.
The couple married in 2008 and have two children, Shay and Kayleigh, who were born in 2011 and 2013 respectively, according to details published on Yeoh’s official website. The site states that their divorce took place this year.
Yeoh, who has represented Segambut in Parliament since 2018, is among DAP’s senior leaders and currently serves as the party’s deputy secretary-general and vice-chairman. She is also a committee member of DAP Wanita.
Her political career began a decade earlier when she won the Subang Jaya state seat in the 2008 general election. She retained the seat in the following election and in 2013 became the first woman to serve as Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly.
After moving into federal politics, Yeoh was appointed Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister in 2018, a position she held until 2020.
She returned to Cabinet in 2022 as Youth and Sports Minister, serving in the portfolio until 2025.
Yeoh was appointed Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) in December 2025.
Her marriage to Ramachandran began shortly before she first contested for public office in 2008.
