NEXT month's line-up is as full of spirit as the month of May, from the highly-anticipated return of Stranger Things – after a three-year hiatus, no less! – and dramatic reality shows, to magical K-dramas and more options (including a local film or two) for a movie night to remember.

The wait will soon be over for Stranger Things 4: Part 1, where darkness returns to Hawkins just in time for spring break, triggering fresh terror, disturbing memories — and the threat of war.

In K-drama land, Ji Chang-wook stars as Ri-eul, a mysterious magician living in an abandoned theme park who becomes a source of solace for a disenchanted teen in The Sound of Magic. Fun fact — the fantasy drama is based on the popular webtoon Annarasumanara!

On the local front, bask in the glitz and glamour of the golden age of the Malaysian entertainment scene in Showtime 1958, or walk a mile in the shoes of a colourblind e-hailing driver in the critically acclaimed Prebet Sapu

Last but not least, Los Angeles’s beloved uber-rich Asians are back with even more luxury, glamour, and crazy in Bling Empire: Season 2. Expect loads of juicy goss, drama, and of course, impeccable style. – The Vibes, April 22, 2022
