BUSINESSMAN Datuk Seri Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has filed legal proceedings against Datuk Seri Mohd Rafizi Ramli regarding allegedly defamatory statements made about him.

Farhash’s lawyer, Datuk Seri Rajan Navaratnam, stated that a Writ of Summons and a Statement of Claim were filed yesterday.

This legal action follows the release of a podcast titled "Dari Umno ke PKR: Zetrix – Kerajaan Bertukar, Kroni Berpindah? | YBM #68" on Rafizi’s YouTube channel on October 16.

The podcast, which lasts approximately three hours and 14 minutes, touches on allegations concerning Farhash’s business interests, corporate affiliations, his ties to certain political figures, as well as issues of cronyism and the procurement of government contracts.

According to the statement, the court documents are currently being served to Rafizi in accordance with established procedures.

This marks the second legal action initiated by Farhash against the former Minister of Economy.

Farhash alleges that the repeated publication of defamatory statements against him is malicious and has damaged his reputation.

He believes that legal action is necessary to address the matter.

Farhash’s side maintains that such allegations must be addressed through the legal process and adjudicated based on evidence and applicable law.

However, his legal counsel indicated that they do not intend to litigate the case through the media or engage in a public exchange of statements regarding the merits of the case.

Instead, they leave the matter to the court to decide. - October 24, 2026
