HOMEGROWN singer-songwriter Lunadira has become the first Malaysian artist to be featured on the international music platform Colors. The 28-year-old artist performed her latest single 'Go Slow' in a recorded video that was uploaded to the Colors YouTube channel.

With over 28,000 views (as of time of publication), the performance has already generated a significant amount of buzz among music fans.

Colors, also known as ColorXStudio, is a German music platform that focuses on featuring artistic live performances from up-and-coming artists. Past videos have featured popular artists such as Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, and Daniel Caesar.

Lunadira was thrilled to be featured on the platform and expressed her excitement on Instagram, writing, "I'm surprised my skin hasn't bruised from the biggest pinch-me moment I've had in my journey in the industry." The artist went on to say that she hopes her fans will continue to follow her journey as she grows and expands her craft, and that she can't wait to share more with them.

'Go Slow' is also Lunadira's first self-produced track, which she created under the guidance of Creative Agency Asia.1. According to her manager, the original mix of the track will be included in her debut album, which is set to be released during the second quarter of this year.

The singer will be releasing more tracks, beginning in February, in the lead-up of the album’s release.

Lunadira has been making a name for herself in the indie music scene with hits such as 'ur cute but boring' and 'Hoodie,' which have generated over a million streams on Spotify. In 2018, she was part of the Good Vibes Festival lineup, where she performed on the same stage as international artists Lorde and The Neighbourhood.

Her album made in collaboration with Reddi Rocket, 'Tangerine,' which was released in 2020, received critical acclaim and helped put her in the national spotlight.

In a previous article, Lunadira spoke about the themes of 'Tangerine,' saying, "This Tangerine-tinted world Reddi Rocket and I created for ourselves during the pandemic was the product of personal longing and hope.

"We're hoping it takes you on a journey of emotional release from the moment you lock eyes on that stranger, to the aching pain you feel when it's time to let them go. There are several layers to peel off this EP, and most of it is bittersweet."

'Go Slow' is now available on iTunes and Spotify.  – The Vibes, January 27, 2023
