BLACKPINK'S Jennie has taken to the fan community Weverse to address concerns over a recent minor facial injury she sustained.

The K-pop sensation posted on March 3, reassuring fans that the injury will not affect her performance and that she is doing well.

Jennie's message comes just a day before the highly anticipated Malaysia concert, where fans will be eagerly anticipating the group's performance.

Not wanting to surprise fans, Jennie wrote, “I was taking care of my health during the break, eating well, and sleeping well, but I tripped a little while exercising and fell down, so I got a bit of a scar on my face.”

Revealing that the scar had not completely healed, the rapper shared that she would be wearing a bandage on her face for a while.

“I need to show you a good performance, but I am sorry for being like this, everyone. I will get better soon, so don't worry, and see you soon,” she concluded in the letter.

After the release of her letter, the rapper was seen at KLIA airport sporting a pair of sunglasses. Several people have speculated that she wore a pair of shades to conceal her scar.

In addition to her group endeavours, the rapper has a few solo ventures in the pipeline. The star is set to make her acting debut in the HBO series, The Idol. Through this new project, she hopes to reveal a more intimate side to her fans.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, she expressed her eagerness to showcase her versatility as an artist saying, "I’m still discovering my own colour. I love vocals, rap, and dance.

"I can contain all of that in a single song. I have that diversity. Jennie in Blackpink has a limited image, but I have so many other things I like.”

Blackpink's concert, which is set to take place tonight at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, is set to be the biggest event taking place in the city this weekend.

According to Astro Awani's survey, Blackpink fans or 'Blinks' have been present at the concert venue as early as 10am this morning.
