[PHOTOS] Melakans set and ready to decide future tomorrow

MELAKA – After 12 days of campaigning, Melaka’s registered voters will cast their votes tomorrow.

Despite being subject to strict standard operating procedures, contesting candidates have not missed the opportunity to continue campaigning according to the new norms using unique and creative means.

Tomorrow is an important day for the state's 476,037 voters as it will determine which coalition of political parties will lead the state administration for the next five years.

At midnight tonight, the focus will be on 217 polling centres in 28 seats, where candidates will hand over their fate to the people of Melaka.

The strict SOPs outlined by the Election Commission will continue to regulate all registered voters throughout the democratic process, including those with Covid-19 symptoms.

Those who are symptomatic or have a body temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius, a cough, sore throat, or difficulty breathing will be immediately isolated from other voters to vote in a special tent.

To control the number of voters at polling stations at any one time, the EC has recommended times from 8-10 am; 10am-noon, noon-2pm, and 2-4.30pm.
