KUALA LUMPUR – Hari Raya celebrations this year at numerous kampung around the country are filled with joy and high spirits.
In Kg Jenjarom in Kuala Langat, villagers have kept their traditions alive by adorning their houses with colourful lights, creating a stunning and unique visual display.
The traditional call to prayer, known as “memukul beduk”, on a lorry going around the village is a unique way to remind the villagers that Hari Raya Aidilfitri is just around the corner.
Apart from that, the brightly lit homes of Kg Jenjarom contribute to the village’s overall charm, especially when illuminated at night.
The stirring of dodol – a sweet delicacy – is another cherished tradition during Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebrations.
Children playing with fireworks and firecrackers adds cheer and joy to the festive atmosphere.
