IMAGINE enjoying a lovely sunset on a magnificent yacht with close friends or business associates while eating and drinking from a menu prepared by some of the best chefs in the world.

Usually, one would have to fly more than 16 hours to Europe for such an experience. But the experience is now available an hour’s drive away from Kuala Lumpur, in Port Dickson.

Famed restaurant Nobu Kuala Lumpur and Platinum Charters have joined forces to offer cocktails and fine dining on board a yacht cruising along the Malacca Strait.

The Vibes was invited to a preview at the Admiral Marina & Leisure Club in Port Dickson. Great weather and a serene sea provided the perfect backdrop for a variety of Nobu-signature dishes, including the famed black cod miso, yellowtail jalapeno, wagyu truffle teriyaki, and strawberry daifuku.

Nobu KL head chef Philip Leong and head sushi chef Renante Dominguez led the team preparing the dinner.

Our experience began with a downpour in Kuala Lumpur but we were greeted by a gentle breeze and a beautiful sunset in Port Dickson, where a 62-foot catamaran awaited us.

Being on an exclusive yacht with possibly the best chefs in the region would tick many a bucket list for sure.

The menu can be tailored to cater for groups of up to 20 at a time. The food is accompanied by Nobu’s very own brand of sake.

The cruise departs at 6pm and returns to the dock at 10pm.

Bookings are required two weeks ahead. For information, contact Nobu KL at [email protected] or Platinum Charters at [email protected]. – May 24, 2024.
