STILL reminiscing about that ecstatic moment when Ben & Jerry’s announced the opening of their very first Malaysian Scoop Shop located in Sunway Pyramid?

It saddens us to hear that they are closing down.

Looking back to September 2, 2019, when ice cream enthusiasts arrived at the store hours early to be among the 10,000 to receive a free scoop of ice cream.

And some lucky individuals were able to receive a VIP pass prior to the date to secure their scoop and skip the endless queue.

10,000 sizable scoops of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream were left in the hands of happy receivers.

The following months for Ben & Jerry’s were booming as they still served a multitude of hungry customers and were frequently running out of ice cream flavors.

Unfortunately, Ben & Jerry’s have become yet another major brand to be decimated by the global pandemic.

On December 17, the US ice cream chain announced they were closing the Sunway outlet and thanked their fans, employees and partners for their support.

So long rich, creamy goodness. Your overflowing hand-scooped pints will surely be missed. – The Vibes, December 18, 2020
