NETIZENS were shocked after a job listing in Singapore went viral - offering up to RM13,000 a month for cleaning duties, including washing toilets.

The post - a screenshot from a job portal was for the position of a cleaning specialist at a company in Singapore.

The applicant needed to work six days a week, eight hours daily and up to 12 hours, including overtime.

Overtime pay is 1.5 times, and a person stands to earn between RM10,500 to RM13,000 a month.

However, the applicant is required to have a degree and welcomes fresh graduates.

Netizens were shocked over the high salary for the job which many would consider dirty.

However, some said it was worth considering as it would be 'take years' to earn that kind of monthly salary in Malaysia. - September 19, 2025
