THE incumbent for the Karanaan State Legislative Assembly (DUN) seat in Sabah, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, continued to show his commitment to community welfare when he spent time with two active organisations in the Ranau district recently.

Among them were the Malaysian Police Ex-Servicemen Association (PBPM) Ranau Branch and the Ranau Social and Welfare Association (PSKR) at a community-friendly event in Red Hill.

The event saw the presence of 30 retired police officers who had served in the Ranau district as well as 20 PSKR members - becoming a platform for strengthening relationships and sharing experiences between community leaders, security retirees and welfare activists.

During the meeting, Masidi took the opportunity to ask about the welfare of the retired police officers who have contributed greatly to maintaining state security, as well as appreciating PSKR's active involvement in community work.

To support the continuation of the welfare programs of both organizations, Masidi announced a donation of RM15,000 to PBPM Ranau and RM8,000 to PSKR, making it a total of RM23,000.

According to him, the donation is hoped to assist the management of the association, strengthen the welfare fund, and ensure that more retirees and the community in need receive appropriate assistance.

The chairman of PBPM Ranau, Nuil Gutal, expressed his appreciation for the donation which he described as very important in ensuring the welfare of members continues to be maintained.

PSKR Chairman, Ayuna Jukita @ Dungkim, also expressed appreciation to Masidi for his continued support of the association. - November 11, 2025
