A WOMAN ended up with a bill of over RM500 after her ‘date’ abandoned her after taking her out for a western meal at a fancy restaurant recently.

In a post uploaded on Threads by @Senjaaaa.j, she shared her bitter experience of going out with a man who claimed to be a doctor.

According to her, the dinner was unplanned, and they both agreed to have western food; however, the man suggested going to a fancy restaurant with fewer people.

“I also asked him if he was okay with the restaurant I suggested, especially in terms of price. But he said okay, and the place was close to the hospital where he works,” she said.

However, while on the date, the man suddenly gave an excuse to leave for a while because he wanted to pass something to his friend and never returned to the restaurant.

“He suddenly said he wanted to give something to his friend and never showed up. The trick was, I had to pay for everything and go home by myself,” she said in the post.

The woman also sent him a message showing the receipt for their food and asking the man to pay for his share.

In the comments section, users also expressed their dissatisfaction with the man's irresponsible attitude in leaving his date in that manner. – July 18, 2026
