KFC Malaysia, inspired by the success of the bidding for the ‘KFC’ car registration plates, will be holding the first-ever bidding for its KFC Original Plate.

The car registration plates open bidding saw RM2 million being collected by the Road Transport Department. Not to be outdone, KFC will open its first-ever bidding for the limited-edition KFC Original Plate tomorrow from 11am to 11pm on the KFC Facebook page.

The bid opens at RM11 where Malaysians can take part with a minimum bid increase of RM1, it said in a statement.

The highest bidder will be named the winner with 100% profit going towards KFC Add Hope Malaysia – the local instalment of KFC’s global initiative to end world hunger.

“Here at KFC Malaysia, we want you to know that we share your love for KFC. We’re pleased to increase the excitement with our very own KFC Original Plate up for bid,” said KFC Malaysia Deputy general manager marketing Evelyn Ng.

“The plate design features ‘KFC 11’, mimicking the car registration plate number. At the same time represents the brand’s iconic 11 secret herbs and spices. The highest bidder will be the sole owner of this plate in which only a single unit is available in the entire world, with all proceeds going towards a good cause.”

Over the years, KFC has established many community empowerment programmes to give back to the community. It holds its responsibility as Malaysia’s corporate citizen dearly.

The ongoing initiative strives to feed people who would otherwise be faced with the possibility of not having anything to eat. Funds are generated via donation boxes across KFC outlets nationwide that directly support local hunger initiatives via Add Hope Distribution Programme and collaboration programmes with NGOs.

It also supports the needs of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)'s food relief programmes in the least developed nations around the world.

Don’t miss out on the chance to be the exclusive owner of the KFC Original Plate. Stay tuned to https://www.facebook.com/KFCMalaysia for more details on how to take part and watch out for the official Facebook posting tomorrow to enter the bidding.

The winner will be announced on the same day. – The Vibes, February 24, 2021
