DOGS now have their own mobile canteen - Woofbowl. On the menu of this canine restaurant in Washington, DC, USA, the dishes could easily be mistaken for normal human food.

After the food truck trend for humans, now it's time for dogs to get their turn. For your four-legged companion  to order his menu, you'd have to head to the United States to test it out in real life. At this new stop, dogs, just like humans, are able to tuck into a burger, nuggets, tacos or donuts. As a bonus, your dog can even enjoy dog beer, a kind of broth made of beef and chicken. This is the menu on offer at the aptly named "Woofbowl," which, under the guise of fast food, actually produces organic dog eats, free of GMOs, preservatives and artificial flavorings.

Overcoming post-traumatic stress with the help of dogs

Behind this company with its sleek and unique marketing is Ron Holloway and his wife Solo. He's a Navy veteran, she, a Khmer Rouge refugee. The couple, owners of two bulldogs, launched the food truck in 2017. In an interview with the Washington Business Journal, Ron explained that the dogs had helped him overcome his post-traumatic stress. "Around my boys I have less anxiety, less chest pressure, better focus, and I breathe better," he remarked.

As they became experts at carefully preparing healthy food for their dogs, Solo decided to put her skills as an engineer to work in the conception and production of superfood for pets. And so the couple decided to embark on an entrepreneurial adventure. However the food truck almost never saw the light of day. Cash flow problem, a contractor who filed for bankruptcy... the couple finally succeeded in bringing their project to life. In addition to the satisfaction of bringing joy to dogs, the couple donates part of their profits to animal and veteran charities.

This isn't the first time a food truck dedicated to pets has launched. Back in 2016, in Moselle, France, Régis, a pastry cook decided, along with his wife and mother-in-law, to launch a food truck for dogs and cats. – ETX Studio, March 10, 2021
