BIGO Live, the global leading livestreaming platform, recently concluded Malaysia’s first-ever Bigo Awards Gala 2022. Held at the VE Hotel & Residence at the Bangsar Nexus Ballroom, the Bigo Awards Gala 2022 celebrated Bigo Live’s broadcasters in Malaysia.

To align with this year’s theme 'Better Live, Better Future', Bigo Live specially designed the event to commemorate the platform’s leading broadcasters in Malaysia for just how far they have come during such a tumultuous year and representing Bigo Live’s vision for a brighter future in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“The Bigo Awards Gala was first launched in 2020 and has since evolved to be the pinnacle of celebrations for our livestream broadcasters. In Malaysia, Bigo Live has achieved a remarkable increase in application downloads in the past year, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge our users and broadcasters who have made this achievement possible for us,” He Wei, country manager of Bigo Live Malaysia, said during the opening remarks.

“To our users and fans who trusted Bigo Live, thank you for sharing your life moments and talents, and choosing us as your platform of choice to connect with people from around the world. Without your support, we would not have reached this height and for that, we thank you for your support,” He Wei added.

The Bigo Awards Gala 2022 also saw Bigo Live Malaysia’s top broadcasters recognised in the Top Regional Broadcaster, Top Regional Family and Top Regional Agency award categories, which were awarded to 君君, 3399 俱乐部, and Ceoless Agency, respectively.

“Throughout the past year, Bigo Live has been a supportive platform and I am deeply honoured to be recognised as the top regional broadcaster in Malaysia. This would not have been possible without the support of my fans, and I would like to dedicate this award to them. Bigo Live has provided me with a wide range of opportunities and I look forward to continuing livestreaming on the platform, and putting out engaging content for Malaysia’s viewers,” 君君 said.
