TWO monitor lizards created a frenzy when they scurried into a restaurant in Johor Bahru recently.

According to a post on Uncle Fook Chili Hakka Mee's Facebook, the incident unfolded at about 8.45am when the two reptiles dashed in through the front door.

The entire incident captured on CCTV shows one of the lizards chasing the other as they both run into the restaurant.

Seeing the reptiles, the customers began scrambling to safety, with some even climbing on the tables.

Some, however, remained calm and simply raised their legs off the ground.

Several men then used plastic chairs to fend off the reptiles while others managed to trap them in their storage room.

No customers nor the reptiles were hurt in th incident and the employees later released the lizards back into the wild.

"Some people say animals coming into your home or store are a bad sign, while some say it's a sign of wealth. What do you think?," said a caption accompanying the Facebook video.- The Vibes, March 9, 2024
