HAFIZUL Hawari, 38, who is wanted over a shooting that took place at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) early yesterday morning, has been arrested in Kota Baru, Kelantan.

Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain confirmed the arrest, saying that Hafizul was arrested at about 3pm today.

“Yes, I confirm the arrest. The suspect was only apprehended at 3pm in Kota Baru.

“More details will be shared,” he was reported as saying in the New Straits Times. 

Hafizul had allegedly fired his pistol at his wife Farah Md Isa, better known as Farah Cie, during the 1.30am incident.

However, the shots missed Farah but hit her bodyguard Muhammad Nur Hadith, who remains unconscious at the Cyberjaya Hospital and is expected to undergo surgery tomorrow.

The suspect had then fled in a car parked at level two of Block C. – April 15, 2024.
