NETIZENS expressed shock and sadness over the death of a Form 1 student who fell to her death from a school building in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed the incident, asking the public to respect the privacy of the victim and her family.

Reports in the Chinese media said the victim had fallen from the eighth floor of the school building floor and police had classified the case as sudden death (SDR) while investigating rumours of a possible suicide.

Yesterday, the school's alumni posted a condolence message on their Facebook expressing their deepest condolences to the student's family and expressing care and support to all the students saddened by this news.

"In this sad moment, please remember the beautiful moments she brought to everyone and feel the warmth and smile she once left in your life.

"Although her life was short, the happy stories she shared with everyone will always remain in the memory of the students and become a beautiful fragment that everyone cherishes together. May she rest in peace, and may we continue to move forward with love and courage," read the message.

The school also urged the public to honour the privacy of the family and the memory of the deceased. - October 3, 2024
