No new deaths today, 1,683 new daily Covid-19 cases

KUALA LUMPUR – For the first time since December 4, Malaysia did not have any new Covid-19 daily deaths.

Meanwhile, Selangor remains the state with the highest number of new Covid-19 infections with 692 cases.

Kuala Lumpur detected 200 cases, followed by Negri Sembilan (174), Johor (79), Penang (37), Kedah (4), Perak (65), Labuan (19), Sarawak (1), Pahang (6), Melaka (14), Kelantan (1) and Putrajaya (6).

Perlis has no new infections.

The Healthy Ministry also announced 1,214 recoveries today.

Currently, the number of active Covid-19 cases stands at 15,140 out of the total 90,816 confirmed Covid-19 infections.

The ministry today reported six new clusters – Lebuh construction site in Sepang recorded 20 infections, Sugud (26), Jalan Tengah construction site (11), Persiaran Heights (21), Tembok Gajah (13), and Utama Rini (22). – The Vibes, December 18, 2020
