THE Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has called for an immediate cessation of discussions surrounding the Addendum Decree, emphasising that the matter is currently undergoing legal proceedings and should be respected by all parties involved.
In his statement, His Highness highlighted that the issue is being managed by the appropriate authorities, who are entrusted with handling the matter.
He urged all parties to recognise and respect the established legal processes to avoid unnecessary confusion or debates that could further complicate the situation.
“Concerning the Addendum Decree, this matter falls under the jurisdiction of the responsible and trustworthy authorities. It is imperative that everyone respects the legal frameworks and processes that are in place. We must avoid any actions that could create confusion or lead to unnecessary public debates,” His Highness said.
Bernama reported today that His Highness made these remarks during his address at the ‘Himpunan Pahang Bermunajat Raja Berdaulat’ gathering, which took place at the State Mosque in Pahang on the evening of February 26.
Also present at the event were the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, and Menteri Besar of Pahang, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, who led the state government delegation, Bernama cited.
Al-Sultan Abdullah said the importance of maintaining a calm and respectful approach in a world that is becoming increasingly complex and challenging.
His Highness cautioned against exaggerating issues to the point where they threaten societal harmony and urged everyone to consider the long-term impact of their actions on peace and unity.
“Amidst an environment that is increasingly challenging, I urge all parties not to blow issues out of proportion to the extent that they threaten the peace and harmony we all cherish. Being open-minded, tolerant, and resolving problems with wisdom is far more beneficial than stirring up chaos, which only leads to harm for everyone involved,” the Sultan said.
The Sultan concluded his address by reminding all individuals and groups involved that peace and unity are far more valuable than conflict and division. “Remember, peace is far more precious than any conflict,” he added. – February 28, 2025.
