A CONVENIENCE store worker on Jalan Besar Menglembu, Ipoh was caught on camera in a shocking act of pouring hot water on a dog.

The footage, which was viral on Facebook, shared by Fauziah Paws Care, sparked outrage among viewers. Many online users were appalled by the worker's behavior, labelling it as cruel and inhumane, and urged the police to take swift action.

The CCTV showed a man, believed to be an employee, filling a cup with hot water and then passing it to another individual, who threw it at a dog near the store's entrance.

Reports indicate that the person responsible is a Bangladeshi worker, and a report has been filed at the Menglembu Police Station.

Acting Ipoh police chief  Mohamad Sajidan Abdul Sukor told Kosmo that a media statement about the incident will be released soon.

KK Super Mart also responded on Facebook, announcing that they have taken action against the employee involved, terminating their contract immediately.

They emphasised their commitment to animal welfare and condemned any form of cruelty. – March 9, 2025
