NETIZENS have urged the government to reward the unsung heroes who fought hard to put out yesterday's gas pipeline fire and rescue affected residents.

In a TikTok video, firemen who spent hours at the site were seen exhausted, with some collapsing to the ground and rested on the road shoulder.

Other firefighters showed their muddy, dirt filled boots, while another’s sole was about to fall off.

Netizens left messages of gratitude to the firefighters who risked their lives to save residents and fight the huge flames.

"Many of these firefighters not only risked their lives but also gave up their family time during Hari Raya to fight the fire," said one netizen.

Another urged the government to reward them and consider a salary hike. -April 2, 2025
