A POLICE patrol car was damaged after being struck by a car that lost control on the Kajang-Seremban Highway (LEKAS) southbound, near the Ampangan exit, on Wednesday evening.
Seremban Deputy Police Chief Muhd Amrul Yazid Anuar, confirmed that the incident occurred at 6.20 pm and involved three vehicles: a Honda Civic patrol car, a Perodua Alza, and a Proton Saga.
He explained that the police patrol car, which was stationed by the side of the road for crime prevention duties, was struck after the Proton Saga, driven by a 25-year-old woman, lost control and collided with the Perodua Alza, driven by a 43-year-old woman, both travelling in the same direction.
"Initial investigations reveal that the Proton Saga, after losing control, crashed into the Perodua Alza, causing the Proton to veer off the road and crash into the rear of the police patrol car that was parked on the shoulder," said Superintendent Muhd Amrul.
He further explained that the loss of control was likely due to wet road conditions from rain. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Meanwhile, a video of the damaged police vehicle quickly spread across social media, drawing significant attention. – April 3, 2025
