WORLD Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) has formalised a significant partnership with the World Trade Center Shenzhen (WTC Shenzhen) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The agreement, which took place in Marseille, France during the 55th World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Global Business Forum, marks a new chapter of collaboration aimed at strengthening global trade ties.
The MoU was signed by WTCKL Group Managing Director Datuk Sri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim, with key representatives from WTC Shenzhen, including Liu Xiao and Haobo (Yuci) Yang, who are affiliated with the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
The agreement outlines the commitment of both parties to prioritise the needs of member enterprises, promote international trade, and attract investment, with the goal of establishing both centres as world-class hubs for trade and services.
“I am very confident that both WTC Kuala Lumpur and WTC Shenzhen will strive for the best opportunities and strengthen our presence within the trade and services industry as well as lending a hand in facilitating the wider economic growth in both our nations,” said Irmohizam.
He added, the partnership would enhance networking and information sharing, benefiting both nations in terms of trade, investment, and technological cooperation.
This collaboration is poised to significantly contribute to the global economic landscape, providing new opportunities for enterprises in both Malaysia and China. - April 9, 2025
