ROAD closures and diversions have been implemented around Bukit Jalil National Stadium starting from 2pm today, ahead of the Malaysia Cup final clash between Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) and Sri Pahang FC.
The Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPTKL) said the measures are being taken to ensure smooth traffic flow, public safety, and security around the stadium precinct. They will remain in effect until the end of the match.
In a statement, department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the affected routes include the KESAS Highway exit to the SUKOM traffic lights; SUKOM traffic lights heading towards Jalan Merah Cagar; Jalan Barat from the KESAS Highway; the Jalan Barat/Jalan Radin and Jalan Barat/KESAS junctions; the exit to Jalan Barat from Bulatan Lumba Kuda; and the Puchong Link exit to Jalan Barat.
“To manage the situation, JSPTKL will deploy 180 officers and personnel from 10am to carry out stadium patrols, road closures, and diversions,” he said.
He urged road users to plan their journeys early, adhere to signage, and follow instructions from officers on duty.
“The public is also encouraged to use public transport to Bukit Jalil Stadium to avoid traffic congestion,” Mohd Zamzuri added.
