She was also to attend the tahlil ceremony for her late father, Samsol Ismail, tomorrow before the wedding took place.

Her sister, Siti Nor Syamila, 37, said the news of her sister’s death was only known after her fiancé was informed after the accident.

"We made all the preparations and were just waiting for the big day. Everything, including the gifts, were ready and the deceased was so happy as the day got closer.

"Two years ago, we lost our father, and today our younger sister. Our grief has not yet healed, and now our sister passed away two days before her wedding," she said when met by Berita Harian at the hospital today.

According to Nor Syamila, she received a call from her mother at 9.15 am informing her that her younger sister had been in an accident, but she did not expect to get such bad news.

"The day before the incident, the deceased called my mother to tell her that she wanted to move back to Mersing and they promised to go out and buy wedding items," she said.

Regarding the deceased's wedding this Saturday, Nor Syamila said that she and the family have not yet decided whether to continue or change it to a tahlil ceremony.
